Man Utd among candidates to sign Marc Guehi

Tottenham Hotspur are in the driver's seat to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi in the summer, but Manchester United could ruin their plans.
According to Football Insider, the Londoners have opted against buying Barcelona loanee Clement Lenglet outright and are lining up a big-money move for the Eagles' hot prospect instead.
While Palace's current valuation of their prized asset stands at around £50-60 million, they would likely have to lower their demands if they fail to cling to their Premier League status.
They have recently cut ties with underperforming manager Patrick Vieira after failing to win a league match in 2023, appointing familiar associate Roy Hodgson as a new chief of staff.
However, they'll have to fight tooth and nail to secure survival, with Guehi among the leading candidates to depart Selhurst Park in case of relegation to the Championship.
Since moving from Chelsea in 2021, the 22-year-old has developed into one of the most highly-rated youngsters in the Premier League, with Tottenham and Man Utd noticing his growth.
For the moment, Spurs look to be at the head of the queue despite only yesterday parting with manager Antonio Conte following the Italian's outburst at the press conference.
But they should watch out for Man Utd, who will be looking to revamp their defensive options at the end of the season.
Keen to get rid of several fringe figures, including Harry Maguire, Eric Bailly, and Victor Lindelof, the Red Devils will have to add to their defensive ranks.
