AC Milan forward Rafael Leao offered to Premier League club

Super-agent Jorge Mendes has approached Wolverhampton Wanderers to offer them the services of his client Rafael Leao, currently on the books of AC Milan.
As reported by Calciomercato, Mendes, who has played a pivotal role in Wolverhampton’s recruitment over the past few years, wants to take another of his clients to Molineux.
Leao joined Milan from Lille in a deal worth €30million back in summer 2019 but has since blown hot and cold at the San Siro.
Although he has another three years remaining on his current contract with the Rossoneri, the 22-year-old forward could be on the move this summer.
Leao struggled for regular first-team opportunities last season, though he showed glimpses of his immense potential from time to time. He tallied six goals and six assists in 30 Serie A appearances in 2020/21, helping Milan secure a top-four finish.
However, Paolo Maldini is keen to revamp Stefano Pioli’s attacking options in the ongoing transfer window.
The Italian needs to sort the outgoings first, and the Portuguese starlet could fall victim to Milan’s active pursuit of new attacking additions.
After severing ties with Hakan Calhanoglu, the Rossoneri are on the lookout for a new versatile playmaker, with Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Brandt emerging as a candidate.
The seven-time European Cup winners are also monitoring CSKA Moscow’s Nikola Vlasic, who could command a €30m transfer fee.
In the meantime, Milan are reportedly willing to sanction Leao’s departure for a similar figure.
Wolves are in desperate need of fresh blood in the front third following a lackluster 2020/21 season.
Bruno Lage hopes to increase the firepower he inherited from Nuno Espirito Santo, and Leao could come in handy.
In the absence of star striker Raul Jimenez, Wolves netted the Premier League fifth-low 36 goals last season, averaging under 1.00 goals per match.
